design plans for complex mechanical solutions conception and tuning : a complex mechanical system is composed of hundreds of mechanical subsystems. Every subsystem can be made in hundreds of different ways => there potentially exists millions of solutions ... Only a few part of this global combination will be tested. Practical questions are :
 - what is the smallest orthogonal design plan that includes my tests data base (my performance evaluation) ? : which tests should i run in order to get this orthogonal design plan ?
 - what is the biggest orthogonal design plan that is included into my tests data base ?
 - can i predict a new combination that should lead to a better performance ?


intelligent airbag triggering : from pressure sensors, the question is :
is it possible to recognize the class of body on car seats, and then take the best solution of airbags triggering in case of crash ?


real time driver's style classification : from driver commands and dynamics of car signals, is it possible to discriminate several classes of "driving styles" that should lead to different tuning configurations of suspensions.

data analysis for odor sensory analysis : from a panel of sensory experts that produces sensory quotations, is it possible to discriminate several products ? How to test the homogeneousty of the panel, how to estimate its reproductibility, capability, ... ?

intelligent man machine interface (augmented reality) : is it possible to magnify quality parameters of images (contrast, colours, ...)  on the areas of detected interesting objects ONLY ?

swirl forecasting for diesel motors : from measurement of lengths of some subsystems in the motor, is it possible to predict the swirl value (does coherent ways of getting out of tolerance bounds exist ? ... the answer is yes, of course)

sales forecasting : is it possible to use together results of marketing/sales studies, knowledge of experts, economic data on courtries, ..., obvious econometric relations, ..., in order to predict the total activity level of a big firm in a given country ?

pricing : is it possible to optimize the princing of service contracts for cars ?
